Alien Worlds (AW) members successfully launched the first GameFi fractal community on Wax Blockchain called AW Consensus Games. It's the first implementation of the Eden process (EdenOS) that applies to GameFi.
What is Alien Worlds (AW)?
Alien Worlds (AW) is an Inter-planetary Metaverse adventure built on the Wax blockchain, where players embark on missions to earn valuable in-game resources. It’s a community built Play-to-Earn game entirely driven by NFT functionality, with in-game land, tools, items, weapons, avatars represented as NFTs. The game features a universe of six planets, each with 500 land plots.
Aliens Worlds is also home to several player-owned DAO Planet responsible for the governance and development of the Metaverse game. The native token of the game is Trillium (TLM).
How does AW Consensus Games work?
Each week, AW Fractal community members meet on Zoom, rank and reach consensus on who has subjectively contributed the most to the AW game for the past week using a new implementation of the EdenOS process. This event is called the Consensus Game. At the end of the game, all participants are rewarded with 2 tokens:
- RESPECT: A non-transferable token that represents ownership in the Consensus Game.
- POLL: A transferable utility token use in the Consortium dApp
AW Fractal has integrated Consortium, a dApp built on Wax blockchain where all AW game planets are represented. Community members use their utility POLL tokens to create polls and vote on proposals to be presented during the Propaganda Game. RESPECT token holders are able to vote for topics they would like to see presented during the Propaganda Game. Anyone can submit a topic for discussion but only RESPECT token holders can vote. Each week the topic with the most RESPECT is presented to the community. After the presentation, the topic gets deleted. All functions to facilitate the Consensus Games are merged with Consortium dApp smart contracts on the blockchain.
The Uniqueness of the integration of AW Consensus Game and Consortium dApp is that each week the Ownership of the AW fractal’s smart contract is transferred to the six most respected members of the community.
What is the Purpose of AW Consensus Games?
The Alien Worlds (AW) Consensus Games has 3 main purpose:
- Introduce the concept of fractal democracy to the Alien Worlds community, for an innovative governance model.
- Foster collaboration and a sense of community
- Ensure the Game’s leadership is driven by merit and broad consensus.
By doing so, the AW Fractal Community is experiencing fractal governance by combining traditional democratic principles with the power of decentralized technologies. It’s the first implementation of the EdenOS process apply to the GameFi sector.
A Little History
The concept of fractal communities in the blockchain space goes back 2 years ago, to the first experimentation of fractal governance carried out by the EdenOnEOS and the Fractally communities using EdenOS powered by EOS Blockchain.
Eden Operating System (EdenOS) is a tool that empowers a new generation of organizations, community builders, and influencers to reshape how groups, teams, and movements select leaders and representatives in a democratic process free of corruption and capture. Other blockchain communities like the AW Fractal community on Wax Blockchain are now experiencing the process to select their leaders, since it's designed to be chain agnostic.
