A few years ago, I received one of my biggest professional lesson from one of my managers. Here it is.💡
Our brain is a muscle like any other in our body. Thus, it is important to grow it too. How to do it? Consume good content. Be picky about what you read, watch or listen to. Spend time on content that will help you improve your thoughts and vocabulary. 🧠
And this has stayed with me.
Seemed simple coz I used to watch a lot of videos and read texts but it was all for entertainment. Now, I had to see the content from a different lense altogether. 🔍
Today, I pick videos and texts that stimulate my brain, make me think and challenge my beliefs. 🤔
What all do I consume? Editor columns in the newspaper; youtube channels on finance, history, science and technology; Harsha Bhogle's vlogs and blogs and cricket monthly by Cricinfo, etc. 📚
Why such a variety of content? Coz it helps me with intricate details and analogy that I can include to augment the appeal of my content. 😄
While we are working on different muscles (biceps, triceps, chest, calf, etc.), it is imperative to pay heads to the muscle that can take us places. Because more you strain your muscle the more it grows 💪🏽
"Feed me more!" is what I say for content and not food 😉
