Young And Old
This one is another one of those anonymous sources and perhaps more of a meme than my typical timeless quotes from authors. Still seemed relevant and poignant to me at least.
I identify as a 35 year old so it is hard to imagine my kids don't recognize how overwhelmingly cool I am and perhaps think I am old? I plan to fight old age til the day I die and just never stopped the things I did in my 30s. Then I added things like martial arts training to spice it up, always looking for that next fun adventure. I love talking with older people who call me young man. My impulse is something along the line of "fuckoff boomer!" but that is not right. It is being meant as a compliment or maybe a reflection of how old they feel. Still, I am no young man by any stretch of the imagination.
Maybe it is this purgatory between young and old that is the good place to be. Years enough to have accumulated some wisdoms but not as many as it takes to have given up the fight!

Changes
I didn't look too much into the fog always lifts but no website and only social media accounts makes me wonder how much is original, and how much is rebranded regurgitation. Which is all I do for Zeke Thoughts so lets GO!
As a leader, parent, concerned friend and business consultant, I have to constantly remind myself that "I am not my brother's keeper." Even from my unqualified opinion and imperfect situation, occasionally, I feel I can see where a change SHOULD help alter someone's course and make things better for them. Is that enough hedging verbiage to make it sound less preachy?
Relinquishing myself of the burden inspiring change I believe would be for the better for someone I care about is something I have to learn to do. This meme helps with that. I cannot beg or shame or reason or preach someone into making a change they haven't decided to make for themselves. Until someone has walked a path long enough to decide to change course, their course will not change. I just have to shift my attention to those who have decided to change and be and enabler.
