In my previous post, I wrote about how motivation will fuel you the moment you define failure with something personal.
Today, I’m going to touch on how you can program your surrounding to keep the motivation up and running.
It goes without saying that it’s hard to stay motivated all the time. There are times you just feel the lack of energy or interest to follow through your commitments.
If you have read my previous post, I emphasize the importance of associating something personal to how you think about failure.
The techniques I’m going to share with you below are of similar thought.
Immerse yourself in the goal to stay motivated
1. Don’t trust yourself

The number one rule is to accept that you will procrastinate or even feel like giving up during your goal-chasing journey.
This mindset will prevent you to overestimate your ability to sustain motivation.
2. Fully immerse yourself with like-minded people

Chances are, regardless of the goal you are trying to reach; there are people out there trying to chase the same goal as well. Use this to your advantage, seek community groups you can become a member of.
Humans are social beings, we all need to feel belong socially.
It's hard to sustain motivation alone.
Today, there are so many groups and forums out there in which you can become a regular member or even a moderator. If you can't find one, start one. Try seeking likeminded groups to belong by searching Facebook, Meetup.com, Quora, Reddit, or even Steemit.
3. Immerse Yourself Further By Learning How Success Started

I’m a big believer of don’t put too much attention of how successful people are currently doing. Instead, read their autobiography. Research how they started their career. What did they do in the beginning? Who they associate themselves with? It’s always more educational learning how success started than the vanity of success itself.
Humans hate uncertainty. Being uncertain make us confused, scared and often paralyzed us from moving forward.
Gain clarity by knowing by heart how the best entrepreneurs/artists/athletes accomplished their ambition.
On my next post, I will be sharing on how we can manufacture confidence to keep us motivated during uncertainty.
