I tend to post some songs once in a bluemoon and always steered clear of the #threetunetuesday tag since I do not know the rules. I read up a bit and still don't know the rules so here we go.
Giolì & Assia ~
At Vulcano, Aeolian Islands [Handpan Set]
The first song I checked my history for is mellow with a house vibe and these Sisters - I assume - have great sets all over the world in cool locations. Their music though is not just straight House or Electro like some DJ's can be clearly said to have a single style.
The sisters play and mix a variety of instruments, sing themselves and just generally have a free-flowing sound that is great for background music while working or I guess depending on the time they come on in the evening to rave your nuts off.
I chose a more mellow one to embed but here is a set that goes a bit more into a techno mix too - Giolì & Assia - at Sunrise at the Temple of Segesta, Sicily
Then I tried to remember a set I watched once with red lights in a temple or colosseum, I think it was dubstep but still very well done and not repetitive as these things get.
Youtube started recommending Nightcore... So me being a simple person remembered Ghostemane, and no it is way heavy and acquired taste. So Youtube recommended Nightcore...
Me being a simple person, clicked.
It is not very night like were my first thoughts. So I googled it...
Nightcore
To put it in a few short words, nightcore describes a song in which a DJ or remixer has sped up the tempo and raised the pitch...
I was pretty curious why music producers favored anime graphics to use with their nightcore songs. The reason behind this could be that anime has a huge fan base all over the world. Therefore, nightcore creators like to get the immediate attention of anime and manga fans...

Nightcore - Control ~
Original by Halsey
So aside from the Anime cover which in my case I hardly know who anyone is so clicking would be purely expecting a little faster version than the original.
After establishing that I search Dark Hardcore because what sounds better than a dark depro song? A dark depro song with some attitude.
Although since it really is just a speed and pitch shift going one further and finding a remix will do just fine, and since all remixes almost always make songs faster then I guess all remixes are Nightcore?
The song above by Halesey is very good already so speeding it up is exactly as mentioned; just adding that bit extra attitude.
Nightcore - Middle Finger ~
Original by Bohnes
The opposite of Nightcore might be Daycore? Does that mean slowed down?
The song by Bohnes is one that actually is not good sped up since the guys natural voice is already a bit pitchy and high for me. I found a slowed down and rebalanced version which is again a version that actually adds the right type of attitude to the song.
I am not sure why a marketing strategy got its own genre but at least now I will know what type of song I might like the recommended Nightcore version of when perusing music.
