Sketchup

Sketch-up is a sophisticated(more so all the time) Computer Assisted Drawing program from Google. It comes in two versions. The free version is call SketchUp Make. The very much more expensive version is called SketchUp Pro. Since I’m poor and a natural born cheapskate I’m only interested in the free version. Oddly enough it can do more than the very, very, VERY EXPENSIVE CAD programs of not too many years ago.
One of the interesting things SketchUp Make can do for Steemers is to allow us to make unique, original drawings for our posts. They can be remarkably sophisticated. I’ve been using earlier versions off and on for a few years. I don’t really know how to use it BUT there’s a new version out and it seems to be much more user friendly than previously.

One of the many good things about SketchUp is the availability of numerous video tutorials
I’m interesting in making a boat. I’m an odd person (or so I’ve been told repeatedly ) so my boat will no doubt be odd.

Here’s something I did last night with the 2016 version
I’m interested in paddlewheels. SO...I used Sketchup to draw a paddle wheel. The Center Rim is a yuuuuge tire. That way the ‘craft’ (it seems silly to call it a boat) can also move about on land. That way it won’t get grounded in shallow water, can beach easily and possible self portage.
