So once again as I was browsing on the Musing platform, I stumbled upon the question below: What is the most upvoted post on Steem?.
I am a very curious person about whatever random things that pops into my head but that thought never really crossed my mind, and I'm glad I saw his question. XD
Anyway, one user @glenalbrethsen dropped this post as the the top upvoted post on Steem: [piston.web] First Open Source Steem GUI - Searching for alpha testers and it seems it really is (in terms of total $$$ upvote value) to which the said post got $46,973.86. Woah!!!!
Now! Hold on! You might probably say now what? The post was posted 2 years ago and most likely the market value of Steem/SBD was only less than $0.5. And so I checked Coinmarketcap.com's historical data to see how much was Steem was valued at that time. And voila:
Steem closed at $3.34 on Jul 23, 2016
And SBD closed at $1.17 on Jul 23,2016.
And since I'm not sure as to how much liquid SBD/Steem or SP that post got, I decided to just rely on SteemBlockExplorer.com for a close estimate, to which I got this:
An estimated payout of 44,529.188 SBD (in terms of liquid and SP reward?). Since SBD was valued at $1.17 at that day that is:
44,529.188 SBD x $1.17 =$52,099.14996
That post got an estimated value of $52,099.14996 USD. Wow! That's like over 2.5 million Php in our country. Lol
