The Steemit Artist in the Spotlight this week in the gallery of Short Story/Prose is @jhagi.bhai

This artist got my attention by way of her writing and captured all of me. I sat totally locked in from the first word to the last in both stories presented below.

The first story I read, The Apartment, @jhagi.bhai sat the tone from the very beginning, There was this eerie feeling which had me with one foot out the door.

I was prepared to run at any minute, because I don’t do creepy or horror, at least I thought I didn’t. Somehow I mustered up enough courage to keep reading.
The story was so well constructed that I became intertwined with the story. As the the character moved, I moved. When the character could not breathe I couldn’t breathe. When the narrator said it was pitch black dark, I found myself in the dark as well. I felt darkness as I sat in my apartment even though all my lights were on.

The story also pushed me to the point of being opinionated. I was talking out loud shouting “why”, saying “I don’t believe she….” But at the end of the story I found my resolve, which is what a good story should help you to do? I mean some stories do….right? I will say no more. Just prepare and read if you dare and if you decide to read the story, The Apartment , after the first couple of sentences, there will be no turning back. Resistance is futile…..

Jamie- This magnificently told story by @jhagi.bhai is totally different than the one above and because it left me with a resounding WOW and OMG and too it was a "ah ha Moment".

I could not leave this one behind. It’s somewhat of a ride with sudden twist and turns. It’s a one of a kind story where you think you got the gist of it and you think you know where the story is going and then it turns out you don’t. I know at the beginning the dialogue left me feeling like family sitting across the room watching them and then…..
