I had found Bitraged and I was willing to give their "Trading Forex & Cryptocurrency" course a try after watching many of their videos and believing they had indeed found a reliable way to trade the markets. It could still have been a mistake on my part at that point (just falling for a sales pitch) but seeing them never use indicators and hearing them talk about the charts in a completely different way than anywhere I looked, I felt the time was right to give it a go.
Fortunately, a dear friend of mine also wanted to learn this and another dear friend of ours offered to fund half the money for the course as well - not because he also wanted to learn how to trade but because he is heavily invested in crypto for the long term and felt maybe we could help him make some great decisions in the next bullrun.
Awesome!
And so I put the course on a credit card, ended up paying a quarter for it - a good 100 dollars or so - and I was thrilled getting access and finally learning what trading was all about.
I sat down and outright CONSUMED the course in a day or two.
I did learn a few things, but I have to admit it didn't really click back then. Everything I saw was sensible and I had several aha-moments but somehow I felt I couldn't quite apply the knowledge anywhere, the path seemed too tedious and I think I was just too arrogant to believ the work I'd have to put in would work out better than "my awesome intuition on trading". Lol.
Trying to apply their technique proved difficult. It just seemed to be too confusing and arbitrary - I felt I used the same technique I saw them teach but really I was just a beginner not willing to put in the time. And within the course they were vehement about putting in the hours to practice this in order to get results.
I gave up too early, and reverted back to random trading based on all sorts of indicators, fundamentals and counter the popular sentiment. To more successful degree than was beneficial for me - so that I didn't quite feel the need to return to Bitraged's material and relearn it all in the proper way sooner. That was a good two years ago or so. Wow.
Well, I am thrilled to say the time has finally come! Last week I have signed up for Tradingiew's Pro account (free 30 day trial) just to be able to replay historic price data on intraday timeframes.
One of the most essential things you can do and that I seldomly hear any of the crypto kiddos on youtube mention is that you have to backtest your strategy. You can't just jump into a live chart and trade with real money involved - it is dangerous and self-defeating ultimately. It is where mostly all the new traders get whacked.
And so after having gone through their course two more times this past week, I have started backtesting Bitraged's strategy, pair by pair - all the Forex pairs ideally from day one of the chart in 1993. And eventually the crypto pairs that are yet to be backtested, the cryptos I want to be trading.
So what is their strategy you may ask?
Not sure I am allowed to tell you here, because I see they have put a lot of effort into their work and it is not my place to spout it out for free. That said, it can be said that the strategy focusses mainly on the nature of the market and how price movement works. It teaches patterns and structure and ultimately allows the learning trader to ascertain where the market is right now and where it will most likely go from here... You can glimpse hints at their youtube videos they put out for free, not sure if one could piece it all together from just their free content though.
It is promising though! Sound too good to be true? Well maybe it is. I am in the midst of seriously applying their knowledge and guides because I am sick of guessing and not getting this skill down after dabbling in trading for two years.
The recent down-crawl of Hive may have been the breaking point for me actually. Took two great trades on it but now I realize I could have doubled my liquid Hive with this strategy in merely two months or so. Had I already learned and practiced it like a madman... oh well, that is exactly what I am doing now. Going all in on the Bitraged trading method.
I do want this, maybe not more than anything but I do want to learn this with competency and consistency.
I love learning, have always been a good learner as well. And I can't for the review of this course to be written on this blog just to tell you: "Bitraged were right. I am consistent and successful now." Still got a ways to go before I can say so though...
If you want to check out their course you can visit their website and get an overview of the modules.
