Transylvania holidays might not be at the top of your bucket list right now but still with me here because after reading about my recent trip to Transylvania I’m sure I can change your mind
The neo-Renaissance castle comes complete with turrets and spires, ornate statues, colourful stained glass windows and opulent rooms inside. The castle is surrounded by alpine forests and the Carpathian Mountains so you really do feel like you’ve stepped into a Disney filmset. Peles Castle was built in the late 1800’s for King Carol I and was used as a summer house for the royal family.
