I have been on the search for a van, bus, or minivan for the last few days. I have come across a few but many were not worth buying with them having to be fixed, just like the minivan I have, They are not worth putting that much money into. Then I have found some that are running and would be a good fit for what I want to do, travelling the U.S.
The problem is that those that are a good fit are way above, not only my price range but way above the blue book price range. The was looking at GMC Vandura 2500 vans and many people were asking 3500 to 4000 for them. The blue book value is around 2000 for them, in the shape, they were in.
As it would have cost me about 2500 to get the "silver bullet" on the road. In reality, it is not worth that so I cannot see that being a viable option at all. Got almost 300,000 miles on it!
The last one I looked at, he was asking 2000 for it with a firm price but he hit a deer with it and had front end damage and really sure to the extent of the damage it did to the vehicle since he does not drive it anymore. He told me it was a perfect vehicle and it was a small amount of damage it was just the transmission cooler and the A/C condenser that was messed up and a dent in the driver's side quarter panel, he has not driven it since this happened though so he cannot be sure of what is really wrong.
Some are asking 800 to 1000 for something that does not run and really has no idea what is wrong with them and will have to tow it to get it home. All I can say is really people, come on! So I am still on the lookout for a vehicle, hopefully, I can find something with the small amount of cash I have available. I might have to power down my account on Hive and use the Steem I have to get more funds for this endeavor. Although I did not want to do this, I may have no choice if I want to do this.
I made a proposal post to help with this but I can not get the proposal to submit and I asked for help but no one seemed to know what the problem was, as to why my proposal could not be submitted. I guess I am not in the right click on the blockchain, to begin with, or not a big enough stakeholder to do that.
Ok, well I am off to continue my search and hope it goes better today. Working at staying positive but it seems to be getting harder and harder every day. I guess if I got part of the stimulus package here in the U.S it would have not been so hard but I was one of the many that did not get it, go figure right!
