I am currently in a small town, more so a village than a town, on the outskirts of Lugano, Switzerland. The village is known as Neggio, and is home to a mere 350 people.
The village is positioned on the mountainside and overlooks the Lake of Lugano. The view is absolutely spectacular as you can see from the photo below:
Can you imagine waking up to this view everyday for the rest of your life? This is a view that would never get old if you ask me.
In order to get up to the village you have to take a small road, which is a two lane road, but is only accessible to one car at a time. The width is so small that it doesn't allow for two cars to pass at a time.
One section of the road is actually so narrow that you must roll down the window of your car and fold in your mirror to pass. Otherwise, you will scratch the mirror of your car on the walls that enclose the road entering the village.
This will be my home for the next couple of days, so I will definitely be soaking up this view as much as possible before I head off to Greece for three and a half weeks. Here I will be island hopping, so stay tuned for more immaculate views, such as the one pictured above.
I plan to do a 28-day steemit challenge where I post everyday for the next four weeks journaling on my time here in Europa, so stay tuned for some incredible content in the coming days.
For now, I am off to trek to the top of Monte Generoso. I will be posting photos from this climb tomorrow or even later this evening, so be on the look out for this! Monte Generoso is nearly 1,800 meters in elevation, so I can only imagine how far the eye will be able to see from the zenith of this mountaintop.
Shoot me an upvote and resteem to spread the word of my travels that way more people will be able to see and follow my 28-day challenge here on steemit! I will be seeing you all around!
