No matter how many selfies we take there is something about the old school style pictures. While our way back we were confused whether to ask someone to click a pic of ours with the Neelakurinji flowers and someone volunteered without asking. A middle aged man with the family stepped in and said "Go on, give those "yo yo" pose you guys all do". His daughter was smiling in the background. That is when I suddenly remembered meeting another traveler! in the tea shop that morning.
He came to Munnar with his friends on 3 bikes. Hiked up to Kolukkumalai with the help of locals and could not see the kurinji flowers properly because of the thick fog and rain. He was preparing himself to get in queue for the tickets to Eravikulam national park. When I asked what would he do if they don't get the tickets he said " No we can't go without a pic of the flower for it'll be a huge embarrassing moment with the friends back home. We have told everyone about our road trip and if we cant get a pic it will an epic fail."
So inspired from his words was born this silly pose of "Look, we did see the flowers alive" proof pic!
