The Kryzuvik boiling ground was kind of our first destination we wanted to go in the first day there. The place is located in southwest Iceland near the settlement Grindavik. After photographing in a middle of the road and 100km from car rental company we arrived there. Kryzuvik ground is Literally boiling. When we walked around on the terrain we scented odd smell. This smell is actually sulfur that comes deep down from the ground and releases on the ground. This odor does not smell good, its like rotten eggs or some food that's gotten really bad over time.
It's not a good idea to go and touch the liquid. One reason, it is really acidic and other reason you will get burnt badly. Places where sulfur comes out from the ground its more than 100C.
We also went on a little hiking trail there. The road that leads us up the mountain and we decided to get to see some nice views. I have got so many photos that I would like to upload but thats just too many, so im gonna upload some of them.
Hike up the mountain was not hard, it took us about an hour to get up and back down but the track is steep and the terrain is rough in places. So I do not recommend to take this road if you are not a fan of hiking or walking overall, even more, when you hate shitty ground. Anyway, we took the hike opportunity and views were pretty rewarding. Lol, you shouldn't even go to Iceland If hiking is not your thing :D
