This is due to the lack of easy access and hotels. But you can easily find a comfortable and cheap accommodation offered by locals who rent their homes to you and speak a good English.
The main port has only a few small restaurants, bakeries and shops. The island has beautiful beaches, but the highlight is the hike to the hills where you can encounter magnificent views, beautiful solitary places and even some meditators.
