1 - The Cathedral of Las Lajas (Colombia, South America)
The Sanctuary of Las Lajas is a basilica located in the southern department of Nariño, in the municipality of Ipiales and built within the Guaitara River. The Cathedral is Gothic Revival style and was built from January 1, 1916 to August 20, 1949, with donations from the parishioners, replacing a 19th century chapel.
The name las lajas comes from a type of flat sedimentary rock similar to the tiles of some mountains in the Andes.
There was once a rumor that the Virgin Mary made her appearance there. Now there is a supposed miraculous image on a stone that can still be seen today.
2 - The Chapel of San Gildas (Brittany, France)
The chapel marks the place where Gildas, an Irish monk, preached Christianity to a mostly pagan population during the sixth century.

In 1999, Boulder County named the chapel as a historic site. Pope John Paul II prayed in the chapel during his visit to Denver for World Youth Day in 1993. After this, the chapel received his personal blessing.
