Destination: Scotland Edinburgh
Time Of Year: October 2008
Snap shot description: A busy but charming city that is postcard perfect
Edinburgh is quite a mystical looking place. The castle set on a peak is breathtaking and the city itself is surrounded by the beautiful, if rocky, north east coastline.
We went to visit the castle first which was extremely charming. During our visit, Mary Queen of Scotts was presenting her story. Not the actual Queen, that would be fascinating, no an actress. Here are some pics. The patriotic one in the middle with the tartan hoody is me.
We also went on a bus tour that told the story of Burke and Hare.
Burke and Hare were two Scottish body snatchers that stole corpses from graves and committed murder in order to sell them for research purposes.
I really enjoyed Edinburgh and next week we are off to Oban and hoping to pass through Glasgow on the way ( time permitting)
I will be sure to feedback.
