I captured this photo of the castle from the edge of the River River on the Bridge of Angels. The castle dates back to 123 AD and was erected by the Roman emperor Hadrian, a familiar name to fellow Brits. The history of this site is just fascinating, and it is extremely well preserved. One of the coolest features of the castle is the 800m passageway that connects it to Vatican City. It was used as an escape route for many Popes throughout history, but my favourite part is the incredible views of Rome and Vatican City from the rooftop.
