Songkran Festival
Songkran is the Thai New Year's festival. The Thai New Year's Day is 13-15 April every year. Traditionally, we are going to the temple to make a merit for a good new year, also performing water pouring on Buddha statues is considered an iconic ritual for this holiday. Nowadays, Mostly young people celebrate Songkran festival with big water fight. In Bangkok main street as "Khao San", "Silom" are closed by using an area for water fight.

Loy Krathong Festival
Loy Krathong festival originate from an ancient ritual paying respect to the water spirits. Loy Krathong takes place on the evening of the fullmoon of the 12th month(Thai lunar calendar) the exact date change every year. In 2016 it was celebrated on November 14th. Loy Krathong mean to float the basket on water and wish for your wish. Krathong are simply made from banana tree trunk or spider lily plant and flower. then add some incense sticks, and a candle. Nowaday, Krathong are made from bread and can be eaten by fish, to help reduce from water pollution.
Get the Krathong, light the incense sticks and candle, making a wish, and put it on water and let it floated.
