Helix Bridge in Singapore (สะพานเกลียว ฮีลิกซ์ )
Singapore is not that big we all know. While we're there for such a very short time, we tried to cover all the places and food people recommends. That night, we felt like walking and I heard Helix Bridge in Singapore is such a beautiful place to see and maybe to stroll around at night.. There we went. Funny enough, no one's mentioned about this ice-cream wafer stall at Helix Bridge. I don't know how and I don't know why, but this small stall has such long line in front of it.
Helix Bridge is a Steel footbridge, opened in 2010, inspired by the curved form of the structure of DNA.
The Helix bridge itself is gorgeous and colourful, I couldn't deny. The ice-cream wafer stall at Helix Bridge is as well tempting. Why was it that popular!? I was looking at how the stall owner was making the treat. People keep getting in line and some even say something like..
Oh man, it's so good. I'm getting my second one
Ice-cream wafer stall at Helix Bridge
I was scratching my head but Kevin's for sure already in line. We all love sweets! The romantic walk on the famous bridge couldn't be perfectly completed without some sweet treat, you know.. Kevin blue berry flavour and I order purple yam.
A whole big chunk of ice-cream got cut into a shape of rectangle and put in between 2 very thin pieces of wafer
Yes! As easy as that and people just loved it ! The ice-cream was not even homemade. I sneaked a peak, it was by Magnolia. Oh! You have 2 choices, a soft fluffy bread or these thin crispy wafer.
We both went for wafer. I kinda liked it to be honest. Quick, easy and yummy for S$1.50 each. I didn't remember when was my last time I had the Magnolia ice-cream. It's not that big of a company like, Ben and Jerry's (I love Ben and Jerry's) or Häagen-Dazs. The quality is for sure not as good as those ones but trying Magnolia this time, I think it's creamy enough and tasted so well with the wafer. Again, look at the line!!
Feel like strolling around Singapore city at night and have that lovely moment with family, friends or whoever, this Popular ice-cream wafer stall at Helix Bridge is probably one of the good choices.
