Travel Blogging requires hard work and intense dedication even without seeing the benefits for months. Some bloggers won't find a cent from each of their attempts even after two decades of blogging. But if you're serious about it and have a passion to write good content, then you will gradually find the rewards.
The fact of this is, most travel bloggers are actually electronic nomads so they've got an income encouraging them on their travels. I have landed gigs that allow me to work so I can operate anywhere. The traveling bloggers that I know are in precisely the exact same boat -- they're salespeople doing web development, content writing, copywriting, programming, graphic layout, and any jobs which don't require physical presence.
Traveling blogging is a small pond with more fish in it than the seven seas. Nine-five percent of people who start a travel site give up after the first year. Nine-five percentage of those that remain earn next to nothing from their journey sites. I know the temptation, traveling the world while being paid, who wouldn't need this?
I do not mean to scare you. However, you need to keep your feet on the ground and don't set yourself up for a massive disappointment. But people are always hungry for awesome content -- there is still a great deal of opportunities for traveling bloggers who take awesome photos, entertaining articles, and kickass videos.
First, let's place the expectations and do a reality check. You're not likely to make thousands of dollars in your first few weeks (let alone the initial year) of travel blogging, span. Forget about using a travel blog that will finance your journeys in the start. I know there is a lot of sites out there which makes outlandish claims that you could earn thousands of dollars but you need to sign up to their own newsletter or accept their program.
