Ninilchik - Bottenintnin Lake - Clam Gulch
So I thought I would start and do my Tree Tuesday post a little bit different since it is the day (well actually hours) before Halloween.
I took this picture on 10-26 down at Ninilchik Beach, a couple days after a really high tide and storm surge. the storm did a little bit of damage to one of the roads. Lots of dead things wash up on shores of beaches when there is a storm and a high tide. There was a lot of other driftwood on the beach but I liked the way these long branches were reaching for the sky. Plus the sky was just so blue.
In contrast this image is of a willow in Bottenintnin Lake. Look closely at it you will see that it is budding, budding on October 30th like it thinks it is the end of February. I hope it survives, a lot of the trees were budding around the lake. I know we have been slightly warmer than normal, but for the trees to start to bud this late, I am beginning to wonder what kind of winter we are going to have.
Here is a close up of the buds.
In less than three hours it will be Halloween, the 31st of October, so here to enjoy the sunset a set of three trees. This picture was taken along the road to Homer, at one of the pull outs just past Clam Gulch. The picture was taken on June 19th.

I'd like to thank @old-guy-photos for sponsoring the Tree Tuesday Tag, I have had fun each time I have made a tree tuesday post.
