Bottenintnin Lake Alaska
When heading out of Sterling and entering the Skilak lake road, the first lake you come to is Bottenintnin Lake. A nice quiet out of the way primitive camping area. Some great picture taking opportunities. The trees all look pretty healthy around the lake, and are one of the photo opportunities here. This shot is from in the parking lot small boat launching area looking back to the east. It was an overcast day for the most part until we got into the mountains, this was the first stop on our Friday Drive.

Cooper Landing Pull Out
We pretty much ended our photostops at the first small pull out just south of Copper Landing. It is small but offers a nice photo opportunity for pictures of the Kenai River. If you have strong knees you can get down to the edge of the water for even better shots. I was getting pretty tired so did not try the steep little trail. Here are two images of the trees and the change to the fall colors, Fall really is almost over. There are still going to be a few more times to maybe get some Fall shots, but not many, there is as the saying goes frost on the pumpkin in the mornings.

I know Tuesday is done and gone for almost all of the rest of the world. Right now though still an hour and a half left of Tuesday in Alaska, and I am almost done and ready to push the post button. All images were taken by me.
