For #treetuesday I thought I would do a few more photos from my camping trip to Rifle Gap State Park in Colorado. Here’s a top down view of the falls that you can see if you hike around the trail:
You can see more of a front view of the falls in my previous post on Rifle Falls. Here’s another picture from lower down where you can see more of the trees growing around the base of the falls:
One of the really fun things to do is go up in one of the limestone cave formations that looks out from behind the falls. There are some pretty views here and the sound of the water and mist feels good on a hot day.
The reservoir looks a bit low. These trees look a lot different from the ones that typically grow around the Cascade mountains. They are much smaller in Colorado.
Back home the clouds were looking beautiful with the evening sunlight lighting them up:
