A few days back, I was at a function where I found this old fig tree standing all alone.
It was bearing lot of figs but no one even bothered to notice this tree!
Today on #treetuesday I'd like to share few of its photographs here:

These figs were within arm's reach for anyone. But no one plucked any.
My family and relatives follow a strict vegetarian diet. Figs are however classified as vegetarian but we don't eat them because of the presence of numerous fig wasps in its fruits. Although fig wasps are dead by the time fruit ripens and their bodies get completely decomposed, the feeling of eating dead bodies keeps us away from touching this highly nutritious fruit. It's weird but eating this fruit is forbidden in Jainism due to the presence of two-sensed organisms in it!
For the record, figs are classified as vegan.
