What's Hive-Engine?
Hive-Engine is a decentralized smart contract platform built on top of Hive.
What's a Hive-Engine Token?
The first smart contract we built was the ability to make your own token like an ERC20. The token is fungible.
We then looked at the Smart Media Token white paper and redesigned it to work with Hive-Engine tokens. We distribute them using a service called Scotbot and we're anticipating that sometime in March we'll be able to distribute them using Smart Contracts on Hive-Engine directly.
What's a Tribe?
A Tribe is when you bundle a front end website like Hive.blog with your own custom Hive-Engine token and distribute it through proof of brain using Scotbot.
Why should I make a Tribe?
It's like having the ability to start Steem/Hive again from scratch, but not being responsible for any of the infrastructre. If you can ever get any kind of traction with your token you can make a token with a market cap in the millions by capturing just a few thousand people.
What's it cost?
A tribe can cost as little as 3100 BEE.

1000 BEE burned for staking
1000 BEE paid for Scotbot
1000 BEE paid for Nitrous (the website)
There's other options too, but that's the bare minimum.
That's around 600 bucks where you have the potential to make a token that could be worth millions.
What else can help me make it worth money?
Right now we have NFTs. With a little work you can start selling your own NFTs in your own new currency.
In the near future we're adding ethereum to the platform, ERC20s, the ability to wrap Hive Engine tokens onto Ethereum and interact with uniswap, and we're making our own version of Uniswap style liquidity pools called Diesel pools so you'll be able to incentive people to make liquidity pools and pay them with your token.
There's a lot of good stuff out there and the cost is pretty low and the potential benefit pretty high.
