Of course it’s not ready yet but I’ve made really good progress. I wanted to see how far I could get today and I’ve spent well over ten hours on it today I’m sure and it’s time to call it for the day, I did a bunch of research last night and a few hours this morning from 7am — crushed it.
so the new website is so far I’ve got the following. ..
- bought a cheap domain
- setup the DNS nameserver
- installed Wordpress and woocommerce
- used a free wordpress theme for stores
- plugged in a steem payments plugin (pay in steem/sbd)
- plugged in coinpayments.net (so you can pay with btc and alts!)
- made a bunch of new t-shirt designs
- put @dayleeo lovely new icon pack up
Had a few problems early on because I imported the previous store from beeb.ee but it came with a bunch of problems that I could not get around so I added them in manually again — I’m glad I did because it had a whole bunch of new options and calculators to make adding easy.
don’t get me wrong here, I really really don’t like Wordpress but this was effectively my time and the cost of a dirt cheap domain name, I’d share it with you but I wanna get everything backed up first and running cleanly, do some tests — I turned PayPal, striped and all credit card payment off because I want it to be a crypto powered t-shirt site (one of many)
All in all a good productive day, can’t wait to share the final result with you, I’m certainly going to be buying a bunch of shirts from it! -- this is really a proof of concept so that i can tell out coinpayments and see how that works.
chances are we will try building a bunch of ecommerce sites to hook into some of our projects and probably develop some code to get our store working with the estonia store i've been looking at that i'll tell you on @eresidency soon.
