As far as the drama side goes, there are no same-color couples. The writers force us to accept that everyone in this world prefers to be with people of different races. Totally fucking ridiculous. And the acting is starting to suck. Carol, Lori, Rick, Merle, Michonne, Sasha, Carl, Abraham...those were believable characters AND "authentic" actors. But this new batch isn't convincing...just fresh faces smeared in dirt and some fake blood.
They also took a 6-year time jump after Rick to introduce a more grown Judith, "his" daughter, a 10 year-old girl they're trying to make us believe is a heroine badass. It's RIDICULOUS. Has this turned into Teen Walking Dead, fer fuck's sake?!
The Star Wars franchise was ruined similarly, it's worth mentioning. How sad that I now dislike something that once meant something interesting to me culturally.
The entire music industry was also ruined this way over the last 30 years with the politically correct introduction of "rap" as a "valid" form of "music". Ha ha ha ha...come at me philosophically, bro.
Anyway, getting back to my point, they've turned what was once a gritty, fast-paced and suspenseful TV show into a neverending politically correct load of shit. I'm so disappointed. I'm back to having no TV shows...not really a "bad" thing but, you know...a little guilty pleasure never killed anyone.
If the new villains, the "Whisperers", don't prove a return to that quality, I'm completely done. It's hard to care about these politically correct new characters, and I wonder what the older actors are thinking not seeing their own careers diminished by holding on too.
