Hello everyone!
This update has been delayed for two reasons: (1) procrastination and (2) overlapping donation drives that became a headache when accounting is factored in. The former has much more weight than the latter. Anyway, having this kind of post is a drag for me, but this is absolutely necessary to establish trust and accountability. What was supposed to be an update after we were devastated by Super Typhoon Odette (Rai) became a full-blown donation drive which overlapped with @indayclara's donation drive for Moalboal Dog Rescue. This caused divided attention for me because aside from the supplementary post that I initiated for the dog center, I have been actively involved with the donation drive together with @indayclara and @chillwithshanna.
Moalboal Dog Rescue

My role on this one was supposed to have ended after I sent the payout of my post. I would then let @indayclara handle the rest, but I would still be with her during the turn over which was supposed to be on December 20, 2021. But then Odette happened and everything was in chaos here in Cebu, so the turnover became uncertain. Because the signal was intermittent and there was still no power in most parts of the city even a week after the typhoon, @indayclara requested that I would process the conversion and send the money to her bank account. This was when I was in Bogo City (December 21-24, 2021) and when we decided to pursue the turnover on December 26, 2021.

I was tasked to do the conversion from HIVE to PHP. Conversion from USDT yielded PHP 20,578.14 at that time. I then sent everything to @indayclara because she would have to withdraw from the bank. ATMs were still very limited and long queues are expected during that time.
The turnover of the funds to Moalboal Dog Rescue last December 26, 2021, has been very successful albeit it was heart-wrenching to watch the dogs after losing their home because of the typhoon. In a way, the funds we turned over can help them rebuild what has been damaged. You can check out @indayclara's post below where she also made a complete and detailed transparency report:
To avoid confusion on my part, I waited for the payout of my post before providing an update and made sure that the funds accumulated for Moalboal Dog Rescue has been properly turned over. That way, we can close that one donation drive and focus on the other.

It would have been an awesome Christmas with the dogs. We were even planning to join their party. Nevertheless, we know that the amount will greatly help in rebuilding their home. Photo by @indayclara.
Donation Drive for My Neighbors
I'm just so happy for the support and trust you all have given me in these donation drives. I believe that I'm not really altruistic. I just believe in giving or helping forward. Hive has been a blessing to me that I believe I should help those who are less fortunate than me. Even then, I needed your support and you have extended it to me. You didn't hesitate when I uploaded this post:
Post Payout: 148.477 HBD and 85.408 HIVE

Near @luckylaica's house. The damage of the typhoon was staggering.

@luckylaica's damaged house.

With @luckylaica receiving PHP 4,000.00 and groceries. We also gave her a solar lamp, but it's not part of this donation. It's from @indayclara's personal post.

With @indayclara - the Donation Drive Queen

With @indayclara and @sabanalchristian, receiving the groceries and solar lamp.

With @sabanalchristian receiving PHP 4,000.00.

I still don't know the contents of the groceries, but I'm sure 5 kgs of rice is included. The budget was less than PHP 1,000.00

Some of our neighbours receiving the groceries.

Here are the payout details of that post:

@juanvegetarian | 1.552 | HBD |
@lauramica | 1.000 | HBD |
Total: 215.628 HBD and 390.963 HIVE
I initially withdrew 255 HIVE last December 23, 2021, when we decided to go to Moalboal because I wanted to help our fellow Hivers there, specifically @luckylaica and @sabanalchristian. This decision was after I saw what happened to @luckylaica's house.

Conversion of 255 HIVE or 387.79 UDST yielded PHP 19,389.50. I didn't withdraw everything for Moalboal pips. I allocated PHP 11,000.00 for both @sabanalchristian and @luckylaica. The plan was to give them both PHP 4,000.00 in cash and PHP 1,000.00 in groceries.
After Moalboal Dog Rescue, we went to Gaisano Grand Moalboal to buy the groceries. The total expense was PHP 2,050.50.

Laica's house was severely damaged. You can view from her latest post that she was also calling for help. We didn't stay long at her place because we still have to visit @sabanalchristian and @discoveringarni.

After @luckylaica, we immediately went to @sabanalchristian's place. We just hired a tricycle to take us wherever we want to go. It was our first-time visiting @sabanalchristian's place.

The total donation for the two is PHP 10,050.50.
Balance: 215.628 HBD + 135.963 HIVE + 9,339.00 PHP
I converted the HBD to HIVE and then sent all the HIVE to Binance for conversion:

Conversion of 267.417 HIVE or 430.38 USDT yielded PHP 21,769.81 at that time. Added to the balance of PHP 9,339.00, the total balance in PHP is 31,108.81. This is the money that I used to help my neighbours.
Because I am staying in San Remigio from December 27-31, 2021, I just let my family do the donation drive for our neighbours. My mother was the one in charge of buying and repacking the groceries. I sent my sister PHP 22,000.00 for the budget of PHP 1,000.00 per family for 20 families, with PHP 2,000.00 as a contingency, but my mother said they will use the whole PHP 22,000.00 for 30 families. She sent me these photos yesterday:

In the next update I'll provide the final breakdown of the expenses and the receipt. I'll also be providing the details of the contents of groceries and more photos of the recipients.
Balance: PHP 9,108.81
I didn't realize that I was a beneficiary of @chillwithshanna's post and it has a beneficiary reward of 62.290 HBD and 36.499 HIVE.

Remaining Balance: 62.290 HBD + 36.499 HIVE + PHP 9,108.81
I still haven't figured out what to do with the remaining balance. I could either do another batch of donation drives and add those balances to the accumulated funds or buy another set of relief goods for the people near our area. Or I could send the amount to other Hivers who are also doing donation drives. I will do the conversion once I can finally figure out the best route.
I guess that's all for this update. I'll do a final update once I go home and get all the receipts from my mother. With this donation drive, thank you so much for all the support! Special mention to @acidyo for giving special considerations to the posts related to the typhoon.
See you in the next update!
