Recently I went to update my aadhaar, there I see many people is facing issues with fingerprint and retina scanning may be because of their working conditions for elders and it is always hard to get fingerprint of child in one try. And about retina scanning it's more than one trial even in my case, then think of someone who are blind. So to add flexibility to system UIDAI has decided to come up with Face recognition feature.
UIDAI has decided to enable face authentication in fusion Mode on registered devices by 1st January July 2018
it will be allowed only in fusion Mod along with one more authentication factor combined with either fingerprint or Iris for OTP
