Maybe (just maybe lol) some of you were wondering why I wasn't active in Steemit for the past couple of weeks. Well, I was just chilling after four and half months of being stressed with my life-changing experience HAHA! So, I felt like I deserve to treat myself with chill-out moments and a rest - a quality of good rest that I had missed for a looooong time!
These past few weeks after July 19, I have been busy watching TV series and movies on Netflix such as the following:
The Sinner
- I binged-watched this for only 1 day! I just love Jessica Biel. There's always something in her that when you start watching her, you'll be automatically moved by her acting. She's superb! Though this series is character-driven, when I finished watching it, I didn't like it that much in general. I don't know if it's just me but it's too depressing for me. I just didn't like how it ended.
Dr. Foster
- I binged-watched this as well not because I really love it but I just got curious how Dr. Foster found out and caught her husband cheating on her. I know ladies are the ones who'd get interested to watch this tv series LOL as I know some of you can relate at some point in this show. However at times, you'd want to smash your screen for being upset with Dr. Foster lol but there are times as well you'd be praising her for what she's done. But honestly, I just didn't like it that much either, as they made the main character so much like "loser". The only interesting part was the moment how she caught up her husband lying and everything and the scene when she surprisingly confronted the "other lady". This tv show proves how ladies' instinct is always right haha! Before a man dare to speak up, the woman already knows! wahaha!
Shameless
- Maybe some of you have raised their eyebrows why I watch this tv show lol. Well, I'm still human and I loved it! I loved each one of its characters. Everybody portrayed their roles convincingly and with wittiness. My favorite among the couple here is Kevin and Vi's as they're ridiculously funny and natural! I loved them more in Season 8 and you'd see me die laughing with their acting and lines XD
If you want a feel good show, I'd definitely recommend this one but NO KIDS ALLOWED OKAY! This is for people who have strong sense of humor and won't easily get offended. I just appreciate all of the characters here. They are so damn great! Not to mention, the place is in Chicago, so I was wondering if the way of life on the south side is really happening in real life as portrayed in this show. :/
Secret in their eyes
- With Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman being the main characters, my expectation was high on this movie, but I just got disappointed. The sequence and plot of the story weren't not good to me. Some scenes you'd thought like "really, are you kidding me??" and would find it funny/shallow. But just watch it so I'm not alone on this one lol.
Master of None
- This tv series is hilariously funny however, there are lot of keys that the show is trying to point out. Aziz Ansari, an Indian descent, is the lead role and one of the executive producers of this show. I think the episodes will help you show the reality world of the minorities, stereotypes and the life we live in that at times we neglect to see or taken for granted. If you want another feel good tv show, I recommend this one, too. I'm currently on Season 2: Episode 1.
House
- Well, this is actually my top 1 on the list to binge-watch however, it isn't available on Netflix, so I'm only able to watch it on our TV screen/cable. For this reason, I couldn't binge-watch this because I always use my laptop or phone when I watch movies/tv series. I just don't want to create any noise around the house at night. Sad story for me. :( lol I started Season 1 again and I'm definitely liking it as it helps me refresh the medical stuff I learned from the past.
Hereafter
- Ok. So, I got disappointed again with this one, considering the fact that it's directed by Clint Eastwood and the lead actor is Matt Damon. The movie is too slow and kind of boring. Don't waste your time seeing this movie. :/
Room
- This is so heartrending story of a mother and her son being captive for a long time. The story has moved me because I felt it was my son. His innocence and being smart at the same time is the interesting part of the plot. A must watch film indeed!
To wrap this up, I'd still want to continue watching Master of None and House. Peaky Blinders is also on my list as also mentioned by this gorgeous lady, @eaglespirit :) I'm open for any more suggestions, be it tv series or movies, what ever! I have few more months left because I may not be able to do this again in the future LOL. So please please please help me find great movies or series to watch!!!
