After becoming a fugitive for a year, Hani Suwanto (26) was finally arrested by the Mauk Police Criminal Unit on Friday (7/9) early morning. Mauk police chief, AKP Teguh Kuslantoro explained, the perpetrator of Hani Suwanto was proven to be a perpetrator of violent theft carried out on June 12, 2017 then in a mini market on Jalan Ir Sutami, Mauk Timur Village, Tangerang regency.
"The perpetrators were charged with Article 365 jo 53 of the Criminal Code with the threat of 7 years imprisonment," he said.
Teguh said, the perpetrators carried out their actions by entering the mini market around 11:00 p.m. At that time, the mini market was about to close.
"When employees prepare to close the shop, the perpetrator comes by carrying the bag into Alfamart and immediately closes Alfamart's rolling door and when it is closed then the perpetrator takes out a sharp weapon type of sickle and asks for the money in the bank to be released," explained Teguh.
But unfortunately, the perpetrators who had not had time to open a safe action were thwarted by a shop employee by holding the perpetrator's hand so that the victim managed to get out and ask for help from the surrounding residents.
"At that time the perpetrator was successfully secured but when he was about to be taken to the police station the perpetrator fled," Teguh explained.
With the report, members of the Mauk Police Reskrim investigated and obtained information from witnesses. Then the Mauk Reskrim members dig up information related to the characteristics of the perpetrators.
"We thought our members had forgotten, because it had been a year. But finally the perpetrators succeeded in securing us when members in the field were informed of the whereabouts of the perpetrators," he said.
