Dozens of people belonging to the Lower Community Care Forum (FPMB) took action in front of the Surabaya District Court (PN), Jalan Arjuno. They demanded the handling of Pasar Turi and the fraudulent purchase of Sipoa Group apartments seriously in court.
Carrying various posters, the crowd stood lined up on the side of the road. The poster they brought read: "Victims of Sipoa: Investigate Fraud Cases and Darkness to the Roots". In addition, a 1.5 x 2 meter banner that reads "Sipao Victims Forum is Leading, We Will Support Candidates Who Care About the Fate of the Small People of the Sipoa Victims", unfurled.
"Investigate the legal process of Pasar Turi Surabaya," said Esradus, one of the orators in front of the Surabaya District Court on Wednesday (12/09/2018).
Representing the traders and victims of Sipoa, Esradus claimed that his party demanded the trial of the Pasar Turi and Sipoa cases to be thoroughly investigated. There are five demands they make when giving speeches.
"Investigate the legal process of Pasar Turi and encourage judges to take legal decisions that are fair and well," he said.
Their second demand is to arrest and prosecute the brain in the Pasar Turi scandal which is suspected of being a fraud perpetrator in Sipoa. Third, they demand the rights of traders and those who are harmed fairly.
They also encouraged the authorities to look beyond the brains of the Pasar Turi scandal whether it had anything to do with other scandals.
"We also encourage the managers and the Surabaya City government to take the middle ground together to evaluate the management of Pasar Turi," he said.
From the monitoring of reporters, this action had caused traffic to Arjuno Street. Dozens of police officers also guarded. While today a follow-up trial was held on the PT Sipoa case and also a trial of fraud and embezzlement of the Pasar Turi case by Henry J Gunawan.
