Not exactly mining Byteballs, but using my PC to contribute to cancer research and receiving Byteballs as rewards. For those Steemian that took up the Byteball airdrop (why wouldn't you) If you are like me you have used up the MB's received in one way or another. I sold some for STEEM, sold some for my little staking project on a coin called XPTX and gambled a few away on the Betting Bot. (haha)

There is a bot on there that lets you link your Bytball wallet to a World Community Grid (WCG) account. WCG is a distributed computing project set up by IBM to allow people to link their computer into the WCG grid and assist with research projects (as I understand it). Linking it all up is a bit hinky, it took me a couple of weeks to figure out what I was doing wrong. You have to change your username with WCG to one specified by Btyeballs, and also in your WCG settings change the default option to "Display my data". Once I figured this out, I started receiving a daily MB reward. There are lots of settings to play around with regarding how much computing power you share and so on.
It is only a few cents a day worth of MBytes reward for me, but I am only running it on 1 PC that I use for lots of other stuff. It earns about the same as what it could mine on Monero on the PC (at current prices) - And is helping research into Mapping cancer markers and outsmarting ebola. That has to be a better
use of spare CPU power in my humble opinion.

The other thing I'm loving at the moment is SteemHunt. If you haven't claimed your airdrop - why wouldn't you? Who knows what the tokens they are creating will be worth, but it can't hurt to have some right? Check out @steemhunt for info on how to claim or click this link. Anyway, I like getting on there each day and looking through the hunts for products that interest me. You get rewarded for voting on the hunt (It does use your Steem Voting Power). The best bit is that if you make a meaningful comment on the hunt, it may get a decent upvote from @steemhunt. Most of my comments so far have been upvoted by 0.40 to 0.80 which is really cool. Anyway, sorry if this is old news, but I have just gotten on board since this airdrop started. Can't wait to see how big this project ends up being.
The rest of my life is generally the same. If you read my last #Ulog (click here if you want to) a short update... Our properties owner has organised for a second green waste bin to be supplied to us. This will make it so much easier to maintain the gardens and lawns, and is a big relief as the alternative would be hiring a professional gardener and paying for removal of the green waste. Happy days, now we have lots of gardening to do.
Have a Great day,
John.
