Meresol told us the job here in Cepalco Energy Services Corporation and the working experience of OJT(On-the-Job Training) last year 2017.She was given us a DTR(Delay Time Record) to determine our time schedule on duty. We need to come early at exactly 8:00 am in the morning and end at 5:00pm. She told us if we get 3 late then it will consider it as a 1 absent.

We continued doing a wiring connection by checking where it is located and also by using a screw driver to put a screw in every block/area. We were making a “tag” for the wiring in the control panel in order to determine the certain names and location of it. Through the use of printer, we just printed a specific name then inserted it to the terminal lugs. It was a small in size.  We were here in the warehouse office to continue this work about the control panel. We will find the things that we need to look for inside the warehouse. We finished and completed the week inventory with the help of everyone. We accomplished the tasks that given to us in just 2 days. It was so fun working with the group .It was so important to know and to learn the usage of this tools and equipment’s, so that we can familiar it and it is easy to know and to identify and to look for it . After we get a license for Engineer then we applied here in CESCO very soon then seeing this tools we are no longer be ignorant to see this kind of tools. After done completing the inventory, we have nothing to do today. We just relaxed and sat down in the chairs. Sometimes we were bored inside the CIP. We just helped other workers like Mr. Ragul and his companion by helping them and by assisting them to bring the box, to arrange the tools and also by cleaning the surroundings/areas.  Engr.Pabua allow us to experience as a line man or line Crew. This is not live , and also we use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like hardhat, gloves and safety shoes. We're so nervous to climb the pole because it was our first time to experience so it was normal to feel that way. We're so happy because we knew already on how to do the transformer banks base on the configuration either Delta-Connected or Wye-Connected. A Delta or Mesh connection has a 3 phases connection as a Triangle in form. A Wye(Y) or Star Connection has all the 3 loads connected at a single point or neutral point. A three phase transformer that connects together the 3 single phase transformers are so called as the transformer banks or transformer banking. There are 4 common types of three-phase transformer . We have the wye to wye connection, delta to delta connection, wye to delta connection , and delta to wye connection. It will be determined the voltage, current, and also phase relationships between the primary and also secondary windings of a 3 phase transformer banking. We need to practice the connection Open Delta and Wye Connection. We connect the delta or Wye connection in order to get the required output voltage of either 240Volts or 480Volts and also 110 Volts.  We have a meeting every monday in the warehouse. This was lead by Engr. Gino Macapayag together with the engineers and cesco workers. Engr. Gino asked them if how was their work last week, what is the plan for today?.Some workers answered the questions of Engr.Gino about the tasks that have given to them. Every CESCO workers shared their concerns to everyone about his assigned tasks in a specific area. They went to Gardenia-Tagoloan , Toyota-Kauswagan, Avida Tower -Corrales Street. We listened the discussion of everyone. The OJT like us just wait to the command of the engineers and cesco workers if what will be the time to go in the assigned place. We use the PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) like hard hat, gloves and safety shoes because it was a restricted area and it was a mandatory to use the PPE in order to allow the workers to enter the working area. Safety first is very important to all workers in order to prevent the accident while working inside the area/field. After preparing the things that we wanted to bring; this was the time we need to go in the place like gardenia, toyota ,and aspira tower this was the areas that mostly we went there  We went to Avida Tower near in Ayala Centrio Mall to energize the switch gear . A switch gear .In an electric power system, switchgear is the combination of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit breakers that used to control, to protect and to isolate the electrical equipment. Switchgear is used both to de-energize equipment and to allow work to be done and to clear faults downstream. This type of equipment is directly linked to the reliability of the electricity supply.  We encountered a busy day in this week because we are assisting and helping the line crew about their project. We went to Gardenia Factory in Villanueva with Engr.Pabua and Sir.Ben to make a plan for the service entrance and also a panel. Were going to the new constructed 2 storey building of Toyota Company located in Kauswagan CDO. We just helped the line crew together with Engr. Pabua to dig a hole about 6 ft in order to put a pole below the ground. In the next day, we prepared the things or tools to bring to the Toyota Company and also helping and assisting the line man crew to install the cut-out fuse, arrester, cross arm and suspension insulator.
In the next day, we visited the Capitol University Medical Center Hospital located in Lapasan to troubleshoot the main source in the hospital. They are using only a generator for temporary. That's why the hospital wants to resolve this problem. We change and put the fuse cut-out in the pole then in a few minutes ,we heard and saw a spark when they put a fuse cut-out. According to Engr. Pabua and Engr. Michael ,one transformer was already a damage and also the transformers are not balance when it comes to the output. The company decided to buy one transformer but the CESCO company told them to buy a one set which is the 3 transformers, they will not sale a one transformer ,it should be a set. After the hospital decided to buy the transformers, then the line crew delivered the complete set of transformers and replace the old transformers to new. The line crew decided to work it an overtime because there is no space when the truck entering the area, they think first on what to do and then to finish installing the 3 transformers.
Engr. Gino Macapayag asked help for the engineering students about his electrical plan in St. Francis Hospital located in Canitoan. He told us to do it through AutoCAd Software. He told us to do computations for all floors by solving firs the line currents , phase currents and size of the wire.
We knew at first, we don’t know what to do because it was hard to do it, we don’t have any idea or knowledge about it . Then , we asked a help to Engr.Jogiepril Legaspi about this electrical plan; he told us to use the large amount of ampere load then calculate the line currents and phase currents in order to determine the value of ampere trip on what will be the size and what kind of circuit breaker.
Then we texted Engr.Gino if what will be the next steps to do then he said , we will proceed to the main office to continue making this plan. We are making this in just 2 weeks or more. We were extended for how many days due to lacking of information on what to do next.
We knew that Engr.Gino was so busy man to handle this plan but he trusted us to do it. But he was there with sir Ben to ask if there`s a problem or next step to do. It takes us more time while making this plan then Engr. Gino check what we were doing and he also added our assigned tasks.
We did not finish it immediately because we need to check every line if there is mistake like the alignment, the computations etch.
We summarized all floors by the circuit feeders and also the elevator, escalator etch. In the final summary for all floors , we need to get the larger value of ampere load which is the single phase load then multiply by 1.732 plus 3 phase load then followed by the continuous load(multiply by 25%), the demand factor (multiply by 50%) then you can get the circuit breaker protection base on the demand factor then that was the time to get the ampere trip, ampere frame and size of wire.
After we finished and saved it in a usb (flash drive) then we will pass it to sir Ben to re-check and continue if there is lacking about this electrical plan.
