Here comes the lecture day, breakfast was at 6:30a.m, after which all trainees gathered at the multipurpose hall for further instructions and a reminder to previous instructions given on the evening of our arrival. The reminder was needed because no matter how many times you give an instruction there are still some people that will default and anyone that falls in defaulters category will be punished accordingly. One of the instructions given was the time for meals, you mustn't come late because coming late means you have to forfeit your meal. Breakfast was served at 6:30a.m and they stopped serving at exactly 7:55a.m, tea break was at 10:30a.m, lunch at 2:30pm and dinner at 6:30pm one must strictly abide by the rules.
Another instruction given was that our mobile phones should be put on silent or switched off whenever in class or multipurpose hall, the punishment for failure to adhere by this rule is you will have to sing and dance in your native tongue. It was fun because there were defaulters and they entertained us in their dialect.
We were divided into four different classes(class 1-4), Off we go into our classes and our facilitators came in one after the other.
First Class was about presentation (where we were taught the purpose of presentation which are for informative i.e to inform your audience) and persuasive (persuade your audience to think alike). We were also taught the percentages given in components for assessing any presenter 7% goes for verbal, 38% goes for vocal while 55% goes for visual. One must be outspoken enough for their audience to hear them while visual which carries the highest percentage showcases how well you demonstrate to make your audience understand you better. We had to sit for hours receiving lectures and we also had to read the textbook given to us because after the training everyone will be tested by writing a little test accordingly.
After the presentation class, we had our tea break and went back immediately for the next class which was about tax, which is the main purpose of the training. After the class we went for lunch and relaxed a little before going for the evening class from 3pm-6:30pm.
The evening class was a communication class where we were taught how to communicate with people and we were told that patience is a virtue every human being must have so as to enable one communicate well with others.
After the communication class, we had dinner and went to bed.
That was how I spent my second day.
