It's a rainy day! Whooa! Where's the sun? I don't know what happened to the weather today. Since we couldn't do our groceries in the morning, we decided to eat whatever we have at home. We found a pack of macaroni! My husband and I cooked for lunch.
Everybody helped to prepare the macaroni. Mamo and Rimbie went to get the ingredients from the garden. I call it the magic garden, Mamo has almost everything there, garlic, onions, scallions, parsley and other Bulgarian herbs. The tomato sauce was also homemade.

Macaroni is one of my husband's specialties:) @sunnylife was just assisting him lols (easy task)cutting all the things that he needed. We grilled peppers to add some extra taste. My son ate a lot hehe. He likes extra cheese. It was a simple lunch, everyone enjoyed it a lot.
In the afternoon we had a short walk downtown, it was still raining. We stopped by at the church and lit candles. We saw another nice cafe nearby and drank coffee, I had a cappuccino and my husband had a cup of coffee. This was our afternoon date together:) lols
It was getting late, wish we could stay there more and relax lols. We went to the market and bought 3 kilos of cherries. The season is almost over. Because of the bad weather, cherries couldn't be harvested anymore, some cherries were even given away for free to make "rakiya"(a Bulgarian strong drink). The farmers lost a lot of money this year. Every season is different. It can happen sometimes and we cannot avoid it. I hope next year will be better for them. After groceries, we went home and stayed warm inside.

I asked Mamo if we could use the fireplace. My husband chopped some woods and my mom in law found some leftover charcoal from last winter. It felt like it's Christmas hehe We had djankie tea, It's nice and cozy in the kitchen. I hope that the weather is going to be better this week. Summer in Bulgaria can be hot too from 25-40 C. But this year is different. Anyhow, wish you all well and stay safe. How's your day?
