Another quilt the wife is making. She gets a joy out of making them.
Plans are being made for the kids to come here over the holidays. They spend every Christmas here for a couple of weeks. Which is nice and I enjoy the company. I would enjoy it more if the travel arrangements are not at my expense. :) The wife is so excited and there is no way I can say no. She gets such a joy when they are here.
My youngest son will be here today for the next couple of days. He most likely wants to bounce his plans off of me. He has some big decisions to make. He is being pounded with job offers and Ivy League Colleges. They all sound so great and even better when they put it in writing.
He currently has 2 Bachelors, 1 Masters and one more semester for his Doctorate. All with a grade point of 3.9. So it is understandable why they all want him and get him committed as soon as possible.
It has been a hard couple years. We have scratch and sacrificed getting all this accomplished. The end is in sight. Once it is done the burden will be lifted. Only then will things fall into place. The ability to enjoy some of the wonderful things life has to offer.
Everything worth having takes two things. One is hard work and the other is time. Nothing comes quick or easy. The get it now syndrome that people have will never work in the long run. Every day more and more people fall into this trap. The promise of the good life. It is your right to sit back and have a living wage, free healthcare and so on and on. Fear not because the place you are at is secure. You will never have more then you have now. Good Job. LOL
