I became an inpatient I never did things for leisure and to relax. When I was little I was always drawing, colouring and doing arts and crafts and was really creative 🎨✏️ but as I got older I lost sight of the importance of these activities and focused more on my academic studies 📖🔬 I never allowed myself a break from working or time to just do something that I enjoyed. To me being creative was a waste of time that could be better spent doing something more "productive" 🤓 Creativity has been detached from my life for so long that I don't even know what I enjoy anymore! Since becoming an inpatient i no longer have anything else required of me or to be focusing on other than my health 🤕 and I've realised now after talking to my psych that incorporating art into my life is also an important part of my recovery to make for a healthy balanced lifestyle ⚖ so today I did journaling and colouring and didn't let myself feel guilty for doing so! #recoverywin 💛💚💙💜❤️
