The sort version; I ended that relationship in 2001 and refuse to go back.
The long version
Let me start by saying that there are a lot of good people who work with the intent of being in service to people who need help. While their heart is in the right place and their intent is sound, their willingness to do this work within the medical system is what I question most. I also recognize that those professionals are very good at trauma and diagnostic type procedures. However, some of that slips from time to time due to funding issues, corruption and interference from other institutions. I'll explain that in a bit.
But when we look at the medical system, we must also look at all the other industries that make up that system; pharmaceutical mafia, government mafia, lab mafia, educational mafia, accreditation mafia, insurance mafia, banking mafia, etc.

Government mafia
I call it a mafia because it fits the definition of mafia:
"an organized international body of criminals," ... "and having a complex and ruthless behavioral code" - dictionary.com
My views of the state is no secret as I've spoken at length about it for years. But did you know that the state has passed legislation that gives health care professionals the duty to report to law enforcement? The legislation essentially turns doctors into police officers. Since citizens have a right not to speak to the police, how can they possibly enjoy any level of doctor / patient confidentiality when the physician must break that code? How can people get medical treatment if they exercise their rights as a citizen and refuse to speak to the doctor on the grounds that they might incriminate yourself?
This is especially problematic when it comes to Child Protective Services. Their power has become so absolute that they can take away children from their parents without due process of law. How many people got through childhood without doing crazy or ignorant shit that resulted in trauma of all kinds? Today, that could end up resulting in children being taken away as it looks like child abuse, etc. We also see parents being charged with failing to provide the necessities of life due to this corrupt power. Why? Because some parents are using alternatives to the medical mafia system, which threatens the mafia. So they are willing to lie, cheat or take what ever steps are necessary to put those families in jail and make an example of them. There are several high profile cases in Alberta that exemplifies this point.
Pharmaceutical mafia
This group of evil people develop poisons for people and then lobby the government to make it mandatory. For the longest time they had a hard time getting the lobbying they needed, so they managed to get their own representatives into government to streamline the process. They then bribe physicians to peddle their poisons as well, corrupting the very people that are supposed to be looking after the welfare of the patient. This adds a bias to all diagnosis and treatment, endangering patients and padding the pocket book of the physician and the pharmaceutical mafia.
Would it surprise you to know that during the translation of the 1611 King James Bible, there was an effort to hide the fledgling pharmaceutical mafia and instead attack the women who practices the art of healing? They called them witches and in order to attack and kill them, they justified it by translating a single word in the bible.
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." - Galatians 5:19-21
When we look at the original greek version of the bible, 'witchcraft' was translated from this greek word:

Our modern day medical system is focused purely on the works of the flesh and they have no regard for our emotional, mental or most importantly, spiritual bodies. As such, they focus on symptoms and frequently miss the root causes of our illnesses.
When we put profit above people, that level of repugnant behaviour corrupts everyone it touches. Lots of evidence is coming out now that the whole industry was encouraged to take this route by the banking mafia with the justification that healing people does not fit in with a solid business plan. How can anybody trust the medical system when we have all been turned into a commodity and efforts are made to suck as much profit from the encounter as possible? I don't trust anybody that would do that kind of shit. That breaches all kinds of boundaries, so I refuse to engage with them, even if there was a chance of being healed.
Insurance Mafia
This one area is just as corrupt as the last. The WCB is a private corporation given the authority by the provincial government to force nearly all workers to pay into an insurance scheme meant to help injured workers. However there is a saying;
"absolute power corrupts, absolutely!" - Baron Acton (1834–1902)
I helped a friend advocate for some injured workers in their interactions with the WCB. The WCB would use doctors and other professionals that were in their pocket to lie, fudge or discriminate against claimants and it was so obvious it would make you puke. However, the WCB also has police powers, prosecution powers and even judicial powers. The whole agency violates the principles of separation of powers. The whole point of that principle is to ensure no one individual has all three (administrative, executive & judicial). The WCB is an administrative agency that was granted executive (police) and judicial (courts) powers. This is tyranny and it corrupts the medical system and the reputation of anybody that works within that system. The number of doctors that hate the WCB is immense, yet the scheme continues. Why? Because the mafia has taken over the government and corrupted the whole damn system.
I could go on and on, but I hope my point is clear. Why would I ever interact with a system that is corrupt to the core, violates our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies?
When I take a look at the risks in my life, I must be realistic. Ron Law did an analysis in 2004 and his results were published on line. When I evaluate the results, I find that the risks associated with the medical system are extreme!
Risk of medical injury, preventable medical injury, adverse drug reactions and preventable drug reactions is so high that I cannot comprehend why anybody would take such risks. When the natural healthcare and therapeutic risks are evaluated, we find that the risks are at the other end of the scale. After the risk and ethical analysis is done I had no choice but to conclude that these people are not the ones that I want to deal with any health care needs I may have.
The problem is that they have the support of government statutes and regulations, which means that they can use their monopoly on force to get people to comply. Many news articles showing just how far people are willing to go to force treatment on those not willing to accept that treatment ... despite legal protections granting citizens the right to refuse treatment. That is tyranny and is a huge red flag for me, which makes me run away even faster. The feudal serfs (citizens) are forced to participate and soon they will have no choice, much like the vaccine story playing out now. In order for me to say no, I had to resign from being a citizen so that I'm no longer in their jurisdiction. The medical mafia is a very unhealthy benefit provided by the state that I must also refuse.
But that also means I am 100% responsible and accountable for my health, which is how it should always be!!! I absolutely refuse to surrender, contract or swear fealty to another that would jeopardize the sovereignty I have over my vessel granted to me by Creator.
