I was invited by @pennsif to join him and a host of other people on his new show '60 Minutes of Steem'. The topic covered ideas on how we can encourage more involvement in the Steem blockchain to bring the number of minnows up to 10,000 or more. That would involve helping 77,000 red fish grow their accounts so that their influence on the blockchain is stronger. If you are interested in listening to the show, you can find a link to it here.
In my view, communities are built through tight relationships and those relationships are built through time, sharing, being vulnerable, finding common interests and working hard to re-build our tribes. I just finished a weekend men's retreat and I must say, the men that attended were spiritual warriors! They dug deep with the fierce determination to work through their shit so that they can stand in their perspective communities as leaders, walking the path and leading by example. The experience built strong bonds with all those who sat in that sacred circle. It is that emotional intimacy that builds strong communities!
On this blockchain, the same is true. Communities are built by spending time, being vulnerable, peaceful, encouraging yet firm in our resolve. It is also important to set boundaries and establish the standards upon which our communities are built. I've seen many leaders fall down hard as they abandoned these basic principles in order to go to war. However, many more continue to walk the path of peace and work hard to build their tribes.
Stewards of Terra Mater
The "Stewards of Terra Mater" is a program I started in December 2017 but had to suspend in August due to my battle with cancer. Now that I am well on my way to healing, I am rebuilding my account and finding the steem to re-start this program. My goal is to return my account to dolphin status and delegate over 90% of my steem to red-fish authors who walk the path.
The Stewards of Terra Mater are individuals who are homesteading, learning how to be proper stewards and working hard to increase their influence on this blockchain. I look for people who chose peace and work hard to build a healthy and balanced relationship with Mother Earth. While my delegations are small right now, over time that will change. I welcome three new accounts to the ranks of the Stewards of Terra Mater.
While this is more of a community than a single individual, I love what they are doing and I support them the best ways I know how. I encourage people to visit their blog and the website, along with the wonderful spiritual beings that they support through this important and wonderful program. I love you all dearly. This wonderful lady lives in Saskatchewan and works hard to survive in a hostile but beautiful environment. Her dedication for volunteer work tells me that she is dedicated to walking the path of service and proper stewardship. Living in remote communities is not easy, but she left her home land to experience it and I have a tremendous amount of respect for people who can do that. I encourage people to visit her blog and her store front in the coop.
I checked out his blog last night and I loved that he is writing about his experiences homesteading. While I don't write about the details much any more, he is very active in sharing his experiences. He is sharing a lot about gardening, composting, permaculture and that sort of knowledge right now. Since we are coming into spring, NOW is the time to get our hands dirty and learn how to reconnect with Mother Earth. The best way to get started is in the garden and he is sharing info for people to do that.
As I continue to explore the blogs of others, searching for more homesteaders, peace makers and others interested in being proper stewards of mother earth, I will share their blogs so that we can all help one another, encourage growth, strength and community. This is how it is done and I am grateful for my own natural healing so that I can restart a program that I know works.

I am a member of several communities on the Steem Blockchain. The first I want to cover is the @homesteaderscoop and it was started by @sagescrub.

This community of homesteaders resonates with me deeply as they are all leaders! In my view, we should all be living off the land and taking full responsibility for our lives. These people lead by example and it is an honour to be a member of this community. @sagescrub has setup a coop that does not charge fees for the vendors or the customers. It is a model that could easily change the world as it removes the middle man and it connects the producer with the consumer. Ideas like this can bring down the industrial food system as we know it.
The @homesteaderscoop account is also supporting members of the coop and accepting delegations to help encourage and support members. The power of the Steem blockchain is coming into its own when vendors and customers find the support and encouragement from outsiders, other participants and through their own participation. The wealth is not being siphoned away by greed and the elite. Instead, the wealth is retained and maintained within the community to bring prosperity to all the members within that community.
We build community through encouragement, support, wealth generation and wealth retention. @homesteaderscoop fits that model very well and I am proud to be a member of such a beautiful community! Many months ago I was invited into the Tribesteemup community and they continue to do amazing work to support people who walk the path of peace, honour and integrity. The eight pillars of the Tribesteemup community are principles that I can support and encourage others to embrace.
I thank @kennyskitchen and the others that work hard to curate meaningful content that fits in with the 8 pillars of the Tribesteemup community. It is an honour to be a member of this community. Within their curation efforts, they are working to encourage authors but also ensuring that peace, love, prosperity and other positive, powerful and meaningful messages are being distributed through the content being created by the community.
We change the world through our own leadership and walking the path. These communities are a fantastic example of how a small group of individuals can have an impact on a large group of people. I am humbled to be supported by this tribe and as such, I've dedicated the majority of my voting power in supporting others who are members of these tribes.
