In my belief the most incredible and imortant discovery was this black hole in the messier 87 galaxy, 55 million light years away. The black hole was viewed by the Event Horizon telescope and the world's first black hole photo taken as history.
This discovery confirmed the hypothesis of Albert Einstein.
