As I write this article, several questions came into mind, can I still write an article? will people take time to read and feel moved as they go through the article or will they feel what a waste? will readers look forward in anticipation for my next article.
I can’t help but feel anxious and insecure writing again, it’s been almost 3 decades since I last wrote an article or an essay. I just didn’t have the time, the need or the opportunity to write.
Although I do a lot of writing as a Physical Therapist, I do charting to record patients condition, progress and plan of care. It’s a direct to point, reporting style. It’s a bit different to essay or literary writing. I also wrote lessons for bible discussion, devotional and sunday service messages to inspire, encourage and motivate those attending our church services. But article writing is still different.
Reluctant at first, my mentors were very persistent and have confidence that I can still write, this time it’s not that I have to do it but I got to do it, having fun doing it but at the same time making some income and meeting new people in online community. My anxiety turned into hope and excitement through support and help of my mentors @bobiecayao and @stewart-suarez as they show me the limitless possibilities and opportunities in front of me that this online community can do for me. As I venture into another unchartered territory, I am facing it with hope of a brighter future. With Steemit I am excited what the future unfolds.
