These past weeks have been amazing and full of energy as we are working hard behind the scenes to bring this project to life.
After receiving the warmest of welcomes from the community on our first post and a great response from the international community on our search for translators and video creators - this week we focused on building a solid, committed and capable team. This team has already hit the ground running and is working towards bringing you a great onboarding tool with a friendly and simple interface - giving the potential Steemians a positive user experience.
The Full Steem Onboarding Team
For our short term plans we are focused on creating introductive, educational and training videos explaining to potential Steemians how the whole Steem ecosystem works - in ten different languages. Any potential user will be able to watch these videos on the website www.steemonboarding.com (still in process). To achieve that, we searched for a language team, a development team and a content creation team.
The Language Crew
First of all, we want to thank everyone who took the time to apply both through commenting on the announcement post or sending us a direct message. It was a hard decision and sadly we are only able to have one team member per language at this point in time. For those who didn't make the team, when we expand our ranks, you guys will be on our top of mind.
We searched for relatable, charismatic and experienced video content creators who are fluent speakers in one of the main languages on the Steem community.
Together, we will translate each script into our native language and then, record the videos in a friendly, relatable way. While each video will focus on sending the same message no matter the language - the advantage we have on being a native speaking team is that each of us knows our audience, how to connect with them and the way we should approach each subject. We are giving creative freedom to the language team to make small tweaks to the scripts to make them more relatable for their own community and geographic region.
Apart from the video creation, we will fully translate the website in each language. That way, any person who speaks said language can browse the site at will without getting lost in translation.
The Business Operations Crew
In order for the project to thrive, it needs ideas, benchmarking, coaching and consulting. We want @Steemonboarding, while having a centralized marketing plan and a goal oriented mindset, to be as decentralized and diverse as possible. For that reason, we reached out to experienced and engaging Steemians who we think can add value to the project, balance the short and long term plan, bounce and counter ideas, and contribute to make this project a successful one.
The team is small right now, but we'll be looking to add people to the consulting team, especially because we want different points of view, opinions and people who are always bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Our Fundition Campaign is Live!
We are very thankful to everyone who appreciates what we are trying to build here and we think we can achieve our goals if we get the community's support - which is why we launched this Fundition Campaign.
We want to be clear on one point: This fundition campaign will be specifically to develop the project and to frontrun rewards for our team, not for profit. A big shout out to the @fundition team and @pennsif for all their help through the process.
We are going to post about the project self-sustainability and revenue plan once the project is fully operational. The goal of this fundition campaign is to help us out with some of the expenses we are currently facing; even though we have invested 10k Steem and we are front running some payments, at some point (soon) we will need outside funding, which is why we started the fundition campaign.

Partnership with @Oracle-D for account creation through their API
One of the main obstacles we will face in the near future is the number of available accounts we can give for the potential Steemians we onboard. Currently we have more than 700 claimed accounts to give out through our onboarding process.
@Oracle-D created an API tool that specifically solves this issue. By registering @steemonboarding on their website, we will be able to create accounts previously claimed by them in a matter of seconds!
@Oracle-D has a significant amount of Steem Power and they have claimed a lot of accounts. They are letting every small DApp access these accounts through their API, thus empowering them and giving them the chance to invite and onboard people to the platform.
