ClamAV as one of the first open-source and multiplatform antivirus has gone a long way in the field of computing and as such needs to keep its users informed on what exactly they need based on their system.
A recent visit to the ClamAV Website shows that the system requirements needed before the app run smoothly are not displayed on the website. This has caused many users to either download the wrong app for their device or didn’t due to their inability to identify the particular app suitable for them.
Suggestion
Therefore, I think it has become so important to add the requirements necessary for each device to run the ClamAv seamlessly and save the users the stress of either wasting their data to download what they actually did not need, running a wrong app with its accompanying problems or going for another antivirus solution.
Under the new arrangement, a tab with an image or logo of each operating system in which the app could run in will be listed and whenever a user selects any of the logos, the system requirements will display.
Conclusion
The addition of the specifications for each device on the website of ClamAV antivirus will help to improve user experience and also likely going to bring more patronage of the app.
