We have many projects ongoing in and around our community. Some are super nice: One in particular is a really great one. This is SteemPi.
- In this post I make a suggestion for enhancement of SteemPi
- For those that do not know SteemPi, I explain briefly what SteemPi is
How to Further Enhance SteemPi?
SteemPi has its place in the living room next to and connected up with the television. Since SteemPi uses a Raspberry computing board which allows it to run many types of application and with (super) low energy consumption and always on abilities, it is perfect system to run applications and service that do require a computer, but can do with a much less power consuming and bulky computer systems like a laptop or desktop.
Music is something that comes to mind immediately!
- Who does not have some sort of HIFI system?
- Who doesn't have their HIFI system connected up with the television for better sound?
- Who doesn't connect their laptop or desktop with their HIFI system?
How cool would it be to have SteemPi play your favourite music whilst SteemPi also contributes even more to the crypto community?

Some time ago, I discovered this ultimate radio service: BitRadio.
Bitradio is a community driven webradio website. Our free radio service brings together more than 30,000 radio stations on a single platform. You get Bitradiocoins while listening to your favorite radio station. You can exchange them to Bitcoin or hold them to own a share of our websites and services.
I'm a frequent user of Bitradio! They have such an amount of channels, that every time I use their service, I'm discovering new interesting channels. For any kind of music there are channels available. Channels with non-stop music, but also more traditional channels with radio DJ's and all.

Suggestion!
Bring Bitradio native to SteemPi.
- Bitradio can be downloaded and configured as easy like installing a plugin to a Chrome browser
- Bitradio can be pre-installed and configured (as much as possible)
Note: include 'installation and configuration' instruction information for the user to give the extra service to the user.
The second option would be my preference, since this will make it super easy for the SteemPi owner to start using this service. But others may find this to much bloatware and I can respect that.
What is SteemPi?
SteemPi is an open source project that not only allows Steemit notifications to be alerted through LED lights, but also allows to view and support the use of Steemit on your television screen.
SteemPi is a little hardware box build up from:
- SteemPi user interface with a set of Steemit tools (open source)
- Inexpensive computing board (Raspberry Pi)
- Inexpensive housing with customised front and back panel produced by a 3D printer
It is smaller then an Apple TV box and it connects to your TV the same way as you would connect your Apple TV.
