I have just made a small contribution to the development of utopian.io : Bug FIX - Increase height of tag container when necessary. But it is not exactly a huge file of code; it is just a minor change in CSS file to fix a bug.
Sometimes finding a insignificant line or word in code to fix something can take up to several hours. That's why having people looking for the fix, not only to notice them; would be a lot of help of the devs of the project.

Also, since it can also take not so long time to solve after finding the problematic line of code; I think bug-fixes shouldn't be highly rewarded as a major development itself.
That's why I propose having a new section called: BUG FIXES. Or something like that. To encourage more people to help find the solution of all the bugs reported.
Most of the bugs are front-end issues, so having knowledge of HTML or CSS could be enough. And there is more people with that knowledge than with .NET, C++, JavaScript, etc. I think the bugs would be fixed in no time with all the help.
