The 1UP Illustration contest is over. The goal was to create a cartoon illustration of the 1UP pixel logo. We had 10 valid contributions which all received a 1UP from the @utopian-1up curation trail as well as the @utopian-io bot upvote for their open source contribution to the 1UP project.
This contest was another fantastic show case for the power of the Utopian.io system for open source projects. We were able to finance the logo button and now the mascot illustration in a public contest in which everyone was rewarded with at least $40 Steem Token Units (the term for the amount shown on Steemit posts). This is worth about $175 US Dollar at todays market price for every contributor.
Three posts were rejected for either not following the rules or not delivering a sufficient quality.

I really love this design. He has changed the logo a little bit by giving the mascot legs. Besides that he stayed true to the original but gave it much more character. Check out the belt buckle which uses the original pixelart.
