Zappl is a fun app built upon the Steem Blockchain that allows you earn STEEM by posting or up voting on short form content up to 240 characters that are just like tweets.
Zappl has received funding from Steemit Inc by way of delegation from Misterdelegation.
The aim of this analysis is to monitor the monthly activity from @Zappl in terms of voting. It is also to analyse posts made via the Zappl app and posts made to the Zappl category on the STEEM Blockchain.
This analysis will be carried out on a monthly basis so that trends can be established and growth measured.
The Data
Using PowerBI, I have connected to the SteemSQL database (paid subscription service held and managed by @arcange). You can find the full query at the end of this post.

Conclusion
Zappl is an awesome project, receiving 49K posts in the month of Feb and voting for 26Kof them. This means that almost 1 in 1.8 posts made will be voted on by @Zappl. @Zappl voted on average +900 times a day in Feb. I am not sure how much of this is manual curation and how they pick the posts they vote on – maybe someone from the Zappl team could let me know?
81% of the pay out in this category comes from @Zappl. This is rather high and is coupled with a lower than average pay out compared to the total posts on the steemit blockchain. Zappl needs to both reduce the post dependency on votes from @Zappl and also increase the average post payout.
The number of commets per post in #zappl for Feb was 2.57 per post. It’s good to see this level of engagement.
Welcome to the block @Zappl – I wish you every success in with this project. I will be preparing this report on a monthly basis to track the progress of the project.
