Components
Pedometer is a open source android app that lets you keep track of your steps. i am requesting a new functionality to be added for setting a time tracking for the steps goal.
Proposal
Pedometer lets you to set a goal of total steps to be walked however i would like to suggest to also add a time frame in which those goal should be achieved.
Mockups / Examples
In settings section there can be a another setting to define time frame to reach the goal.
When tap on the "Set Time to reach goal" , a drop-down will appear to select the days/hours/minutes to reach the desired goal and user will have to walk the define steps in the time frame to reach the same.
For Example :
If i am setting a goal for 10000 steps to walk and setting time-frame as a 2 days then goal will be achieved when i walk 10000 steps within the 2 days.

As per the above mockup user will have another option to set time in settings.
When tap on the same, a time selection drop down will get displayed with ability to set Time in minutes , hours and days.
In notification screen "total no. of steps remaining" is gets displayed and there can be a another text added for the "time remaining" also as per the below mocks

For example :
current notification : 66 steps to go
New notification will be : Time remaining 2 hours with 66 steps to go
Benefits
The reason of adding time frame is that it will motivate user to walk few steps every-now and then to reach the said goal.
This can be a great motivater and help users to be in good health.
